Frequently asked questions
Is Ride Huddle free?
Yes. Creating a huddle, adding routes, voting and sharing the winning GPX are free. You do not need a Tailwind subscription.
Do voters need an account?
No. Share the huddle link, and each rider enters a name to vote. No Tailwind account is required to create a huddle or to cast a ballot.
How many routes can I add?
At least two routes, and up to ten. Search Tailwind’s library, upload a GPX, or pull in routes you already ride.
How does the Tailwind Score help the group pick?
Each route can show a Tailwind Score for the ride’s departure time — weather along the line from wind, rain and temperature. Voters see the map and the score, then pick their favourite.
When does the Tailwind Score appear?
The Tailwind Score appears when the ride is within 3 days. Until then, riders can still compare maps, distance and elevation.
How do I share the huddle?
After you publish, you get a link you can copy, send on WhatsApp, or share from your phone. Anyone with the link can open the room and vote.
