GPS and location problems
Fix location permission errors, a position that is wrong or a screen that goes dark during navigation.
Location is blocked
Tailwind needs your permission to see your location while navigating. Check two places:
- Your browser's site settings for tailwindgps.com.
- Your phone's location settings for that browser.
Then reload the page.
My position is wrong or jumps around
GPS takes a moment to settle, especially among tall buildings and under trees. Wait outside for a minute with a clear view of the sky.
My screen keeps switching off
Tailwind asks your phone to keep the screen on, but low-power mode can prevent this. Turn off low-power mode, or extend your screen timeout while you ride.
The map is centred in the wrong place
That is your base location, which you can change in Settings.
